The table lamp (Biny Table n°231) by Jacques BINY is almost an alien in the luminary world. Some appear like a robot, others as cartoon characters, and still others a radically effective minimalist object. Created in 1958, lights are still very modern. For good reading light, Biny designed it with fins that direct the intense light onto the entirety of the useful area.

DCW éditions, founded in 2008 by Philippe Cazer and Frédéric Winkler, is a French brand that specializes in relaunching classics of modern design. Its first relaunch was the Lampe Gras collection designed by Bernard-Albin Gras in the 1920s, and since that the list has continued with pieces such as Bernard Schottlander’s Mantis lamps and the Here Comes the Sun pendants by Bertrand Balas. Besides lighting, DCW éditions also focuses on furniture.
