DCW EDITIONS Floor Lamp Lampe Gras 411 Black Body

In 1921 Bernard-Albin GRAS designed a series of lamps for use in offices and in industrial environments. The GRAS lamp, as it was subsequently called, was astounding in its simple, robust and yet very ergonomic design. There are neither screws nor welded joints in the basic form. Early on Le Corbusier was seduced by the modern design and user-friendliness of the lamps and became one of Bernard-Albin GRAS’s most enthusiastic supporters.
The 411 is a floor lamp for reading, created with wonderful proportions, very adjustable and graphic thanks to its double-elbow (it allows it to be rotated twice through 340°) and an ideal height (120 cm) for a use besides a sofa : it will be so gracious and discreet !

DCW éditions, founded in 2008 by Philippe Cazer and Frédéric Winkler, is a French brand that specializes in relaunching classics of modern design. Its first relaunch was the Lampe Gras collection designed by Bernard-Albin Gras in the 1920s, and since that the list has continued with pieces such as Bernard Schottlander’s Mantis lamps and the Here Comes the Sun pendants by Bertrand Balas. Besides lighting, DCW éditions also focuses on furniture.
