Ég er tveggja barna móðir og menntuð fatahönnuður, jógakennari og arómaþerapisti. Ég legg mikið upp úr því að vera umhverfisvæn og eiturefnalaus. Ég á tvö fyrirtæki, annars vegar Rvk Ritual og hinsvegar mitt eigið fyrirtæki, þar sem ég bý til krem, kenni jóga og fræði um kjarnaolíur. Það byrjaði sem blogg en hefur svo undið upp á sig og nú bjóðum við upp á námskeið, vefnámskeið, vefverslun og vörulínu. Við höfum báðar ástríðu fyrir því að sameina fagurfræði og heilnæma heilsu, og að annað þurfi ekki að útiloka hitt. Rvk Ritual er því nokkurs konar heilnæmt \"wellness concept\". Við höldum úti ýmsum námskeiðum í sjálfsrækt, bæði í persónu og á vefnum, erum með mánaðarlega félagaaðild og vinnum bæði með fyrirtækjum sem og einstaklingum. Þegar ég var lítil breytti ég herberginu mínu reglulega og oftar en flestir, gerði mikla undirbúningsvinnu, teiknaði upp myndir af herberginu og hvernig skipulagið ætti að vera, og var eiginlega með mömmu og pabba í fastri málningarvinnu. Innblásturinn fékk ég helst í gegnum sjónvarpið (t.d. frá Melrose Place og allskonar bíómyndum) og foreldrar mínir fengu ekki að ráða neinu á mínum fáu fermetrum. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eÉg hef alltaf haft sterka þörf fyrir að hafa fallegt í kringum mig. Ég er mikill fagurkeri og mjög sjónræn manneskja með sterkar skoðanir. Þegar ég var lítil fékk ég mömmu til að sauma föt á mig eftir minni eigin hönnun. Ég hef alltaf vitað hvað ég vil og verið mjög sjálfstæð. Ég var alltaf kölluð blómabarnið af fjölskyldunni minni því ég hef verið föst í sjötta og sjöunda áratugnum síðan ég man eftir mér. En þó kannski ekki meira af óþarfa drasli. Ég sanka að mér hlutum sem að ég tengi sterkt við og hafa einhverja persónulega merkingu fyrir mér. Ég elska að “thrifta” og finna fjársjóði í Góða hirðinum eða hinum ýmsu mörkuðum um allan heim. Skipulag er mér mikilvægt, ég tek það frekar á mig að hafa fullt af sjáanlegu drasli en að sleppa því að skipuleggja skúffurnar... sem svo kannski enginn sér. Ég er rísandi meyja svo skipulag og fókus á öll smáatriði skipta mig miklu máli.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eDraumahúsið mitt er klárlega \"mid century\" hús í LA, eða þá steinhús við einhverja eyðimörk (Kaliforníu, Marokkó eða Egyptalandi), og ef ekki steinhús á þessum stöðum þá sætti ég mig við steinhús í S-Frakklandi eða á Ítalíu. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eAnnars elska ég að skapa stemningu, ég vil að heimilisfólki og gestum líði vel heima hjá mér. Hvert smáatriði skiptir máli og vil ég helst bjóða öllum skynfærum gesta minna í heimsókn. Ilmur, bragð, áferð og snerting. Ég lít á heimili sem vistkerfi og finnst mikilvægt að hugsa vel um hvernig hver og einn sér um sitt vistkerfi. Þegar ég verð stór og byggi mér hús væri ég til að gera það enn meir, á þann hátt að skilin á milli náttúrunnar, hússins og innréttingarinnar eru óskýr og sameinast í eitt. Ég bjó, lærði og vann í Danmörku í tólf ár svo að dönsk hönnun og skandinavísk áhrif ná alltaf til mín. Danir bera líka svo mikla virðingu fyrir hönnun og list, enda er það þeim aðeins meira í blóð borið en okkur hérna á Íslandi. Ég er þó mjög sjálfstæð og reyni ekki að fylgja hverju trendi til hins ítrasta. Það er ekkert rými alveg tilbúið, þau eru öll alveg í mesta lagi hálfkláruð enn. Við smíðuðum borðstofuborðið okkar sjálf svo að akkúrat núna er borðstofan í miklu uppáhaldi. Næst á dagskrá er að koma fyrir miðpunktinum í því rými, en mig hefur lengi dreymt um stærsta \"MARKET SET Suspension Light\" ljósið, og það passar fullkomlega yfir fallega borðstofuborðið okkar. Annars er ég mjög mikil eldhúsmanneskja. Elska að vera inn í eldhúsi að elda, borða, dansa og spjalla. Markmiðið er svo að útbúa eyju og bekki inn í eldhúsið fyrir jól. Við gerðum upp upprunalega eldhúsinnréttingu frá 1957 og lögðum mikla orku og ást í það. Við máluðum alla skápa og skúffur piparmyntugræna að innan, í stíl við Smeg ísskápinn minn. Hann vafalaust ein uppáhalds mublan mín; klassísk, falleg og full af mat! \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eÍbúðin okkar er alveg dásamleg, það eru tvær stofur og við brutum vegginn inn í eldhúsið til að opna fyrir birtu og skapa meira flæði. Eldhúsið er þess vegna orðið mjög stórt og rennur saman við stofurnar og forstofuna. Frá eldhúsinu er hurð yfir í svefnherbergisálmuna, og okkur langar að gera þá hurð að glerhurð til að fá enn meiri flæði og birtu inn í íbúðina. Þaðan er svo gengið inn í sitthvort barnaherbergið og inn á baðherbergið. Við höfum ákveðið að bíða aðeins með að gera upp baðherbergið eins og við viljum, og höfum reynt að nota frekar sniðugar og ódýrar umhverfisvænar lausnir. Mér er reyndar farið að þykja ansi vænt um baðherbergið því að þar inni er svo algjört skapandi frelsi, það er farið að minna á lítinn marokkóskan dekurhelli. Næst á dagskrá þar inni er einmitt að gera upp gamla kommóðu og breyta henni í baðherbergisinnréttingu. Ég lít einnig mikið til Vastu Shashta í bæði litavali og hönnun heimilisins. Ég er alls ekki hrædd við liti en líður best með bjarta og ljósa liti á veggjunum. Ég gæti aldrei búið í svörtu, gráu og hvítu heimili. Við ákváðum að setja kork á öll gólf og erum himinsæl með þá ákvörðun. Korkur er fallegt, náttúrulegt og fullkomlega sjálfbært efni, svo er hann ótrúlega fjölskylduvænn og auðvelt að halda honum við. Þar að auki veitir hann svakalega jarðtengingu svona uppi á fjórðu hæð. Við völdum umhverfisvottaða málningu frá Nordsjö og ítalska kalkmálningu frá Sérefni vegna þess að var fallegasti og hreinasti kosturinn. Við vildum málningu sem væri gott að vinna með en myndi ekki sleppa út leysiefnum í marga daga eftir málun. Þar sem við erum komin með svo hlýtt gólfefni finn ég að ég þarf að fókusera á aðeins kaldari efni og liti á húsgögnin til að skapa jafnvægi. Efnin sem eru í uppáhaldi hjá mér núna eru gler, steinn og stál. Það er svo frábært að fá meira úrval hérna á Íslandi, meira af fallegri evrópskri hönnun. Það er með eindæmum vel valið inn í verslunina og hún er uppfull af einstaklega fallegum munum. Eins og fram hefur komið þá er Market Set í miklu uppáhaldi, en einnig GOOD\u0026amp;MOJO, mig langar mjög mikið í veggljós frá þeim fyrir eldhúsið.
